ABOUT ABOUT

An Evening with Gloria Steinem

Moderated by journalist and Senesh parent Virginia Heffernan

Jewish Values. Modern Achievements.

Join us as Gloria Steinem shares how Jewish perspectives and traditions have played out in her own life and explores the powerful connection between timeless Jewish values and the struggle for gender equality and human rights.

Steinem’s life’s work epitomizes this connection and echoes our School’s mission to foster a modern, meaningful and joyful approach to Jewish thinking, learning, and doing.

The evening will be moderated by journalist Virginia Heffernan, parent of two Senesh students and author of the highly acclaimed Magic and Loss: The Internet as Art, about the cultural potential and societal impact of the Internet.

Conversations@Senesh invites influential public figures to reflect on the Jewish values that shape their lives and drive their accomplishments. We hope the themes that emerge from these talks will inspire dialogue in our Senesh community and our thriving Brooklyn neighborhood.

Conversations@Senesh has been generously funded by The Judy and Michael Steinhardt Foundation.
